Job Overview
Store Management
Prepare for your first position of Sales Manager or Group Sales Manager. Hone your current skills and gain a solid understanding of retail management at a premier retail department store. In the classroom, you'll learn our company philosophies for building partnerships and teams, leading and developing people, plus driving customer service and sales volume. You will also discover how human resources, merchandising, loss prevention and operations affect our business' success.
After completion of the Executive Development Program, you will be placed as a Sales Manager where you will:
- Manage a multi-million dollar business in one of our stores and drive profitability
- Lead a wide range of activities including developing talent, motivating associates and delivering on our customer service promise.
- Supervise a team of approximately 8 to 12 associates, creating a customer-focused environment
- Develop and motivate your selling staff to reach their fullest potential while maximizing business opportunities
- Maintain selling floor presentation standards
- In conjunction with senior management, plan and execute merchandise placement and sales promotion set-up
- Promote key items and communicate merchandise needs to management
- Develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities and maintain a successful business
- Bachelors degree with solid academic record, all majors welcomed
- Leadership skills that include professional business ethics, assertiveness and self-motivation
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and manage complex relationships
- Ability to prioritize projects and execute multiple tasks to achieve productivity and business goals
