During this 10-week paid summer internship in San Francisco, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to learn the ins and outs of programming a major retail website while supporting its performance.
What you have the opportunity to do
- Ensure pages are programmed error-free, cross-browser, cross-platform and optimized for download performance
- Conduct quality assurance on all new code from inception through integration, in both staging and production environments
- Collaborate with members of the technology, creative, marketing and merchandising teams
What to bring to the internship
- Junior year status working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform and design constraints on the web
- Knowledge of browser-based technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc.)
- Knowledge of design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.)
Other desirable skills include:
- Knowledge of a Version Control system(CVS, Perforce, Clearcase, Safe Source, Subversion, etc.)
- Knowledge of JAVA technologies (JSP, J2SE, Spring, Struts, JSTL, Velocity, etc.)
- Working knowledge of PC, UNIX and Macintosh environments
