Q. What if I don’t have time to finish the questionnaire?
A. No problem. Once you’ve started filling out the questionnaire by registering with your unique User Name and Password, you can return anytime to complete the form and submit it. A special link, highlighted in red, is provided on the left side of this page and at the bottom of every page of macysJOBS.com to give you step-by-step instructions on how to "Finish Your Questionnaire."

Q. What is the first step in applying for a position with Macy's?
A. You've already taken the first step by visiting macysJOBS.com. Please complete the online application or through our web site. Your information will be forwarded to a member of our Employment team. If it is more convenient, you may submit an application at any Macy's location.

Q. What are the steps in the interview process?
A. The interview process is based on the position. If your qualifications match an open position, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Generally, candidates will interview with more than one person. The interview process is actually a two-way street – we interview you and you interview Macy's to see if we're a good match for each other.

Q. After the interview process is completed, what are the next steps?
A. Great care and consideration are given to determine each individual's fit for the position and into our company. The interviewers will meet as a team and make the selection decision. You will be contacted to inform you of the outcome of your interview.

Q. What are the opportunities for advancement?

Q. If I join the company in a temporary or seasonal job, what are the chances of coming on board full-time?
A. Many of our regular employees started in a temporary or seasonal position. It's a great way to see if Macy's is a good match for you. As opportunities become available, we initially look internally to fill those openings. If you express an interest in continuing your employment, you would be among the first considered based on your performance.
